Cité internationale des arts – Paris
The Institut Français d’Indonésie (IFI), Fundação Oriente and the Cité internationale des arts, an artist residency center in Paris, are pleased to announce their collaboration and the launch of a creative and research residency programme for Timorese artists from all disciplines. The aim of this programme is to encourage and facilitate the mobility of artists from Timor-Leste and to expand their professional and artistic networks.
This initiative is co-designed by the Cité internationale des arts (Paris), Fundação Oriente, and the Institut Français d’Indonésie. The partners are committed to supporting each laureate’s project by providing them with privileged mentorship, networking opportunities, and a fully-funded three-month residency in Paris.
Following the call for applications and a jury of professionals from the art and culture sectors, one laureate will be selected. All practical details and information are available below (please review these carefully before submitting your application).
The residency will take place from January 3 to March 27, 2025.
As part of the programme, the artist will benefit from:
- Mentorship, networking opportunities, and meetings organized by the programme’s partners.
- A live-in studio at the Cité internationale des arts in the Marais district, which consists of a single furnished space for both living and working.
- A monthly living stipend of €850 net of taxes.
- Coverage of international round-trip travel to and from Paris airports, as well as travel insurance and visa fees.
- A €200 arrival allowance upon arrival in Paris, pending the first stipend payment, which will be directly deposited into the artist’s bank account each month.
Transport of works or experimental materials will not be covered. A final report of the experience will be required at the end of the residency.
Only one application will be selected.
